The role of high school athletics is to support personal growth and discipline physical and mental health, foster social connections and belongings and to prepare student athletes with necessary skills that will allow them to become productive citizens of tomorrow. High school sports should be a positive experience for everyone with priorities placed on developing values and learning life lessons rather than securing scholarships or becoming professional athletes.

Athletics promotes the importance of teamwork, effort, goals, and commitment. sportsmanship, respect for participants, and dignity in the face of adversity are more important than the outcome of the contest. Not all athletes  perform at the same level, but all can demonstrate effort, dedication, sportsmanship and positive citizenship.

Fan Expectations at Games

Fan Expectations at Games

Our athletic contests are an integral part of the educational programs of our schools. Good sportsmanship is a top priority. All players, coaches and spectators are expected to maintain the highest ideals of good sportsmanship and to respect the integrity and judgment of their opponents and tonight’s game officials.

We request that all cheering be done in a positive and respectful manner. As well, we do not consider berating or disrespecting your opponent or the game officials as being ‘classy’, ‘funny’ or ‘cool’ behavior.”

For Spectators
A first ejection will result in the spectator being banned from the next 3 contests, and it is the responsibility of the school to ensure that this occurs.
A second ejection will result in the spectator being banned from all remaining contests, and it is the responsibility of the school to ensure that this occurs.

Thank you for enthusiastically and positively supporting  the Principles of ‘Pursuing Victory with Honor’ at our games.
