EXPLORATORIUM 2013

Video Academy Film Festival

One of the major events in the Video Academy is the film festival that takes part every year. Any VA student can participate in submitting one of their best works to compete against other videos to win awards and accolades. Screening is held in the Mello center on the set date.

Whale Watching

Every sophmore VA student participates in the annual Whale Watching field trip with Ms. Yew. You will be able to go on a boat deep into the Monterey bay and observe whales up close. This trip is notorious for making students vomit while getting video taped by a fellow classmate.

San Francisco Technology Museum

Junior VA students will be able to participate in the SF Tech Museum trip with various VA teachers. You will be given a tour of the museum by a teacher or chaperone.

Video Academy Senior Banquet

Every year the VA holds a banquet for the graduating VA senior class. Awards will be given to those who have accomplished or exceeded more than necessary requirements in the Video Academy during their 3 year participation. All outstanding students will be recognized.

*any VA student with a grade lower than a D will not be able to participate in field trips.
