Spring Workouts: for boys Basketball will start tonight at 6:00 pm in the New Gym all boys interested in playing Basketball next season are encouraged to attend these workouts.

 

FACULTY FOLLIES IS ON--FRIDAY MAY 23RD IN THE CAFETERIA.  It’s all for scholarship money. So, get your act together.  Sign up w/Pete or Tony Navarro.  Be the next American Idol

EVENT DATE: This will take place on May 23, 2008 at the cafeteria. The English department is ready for their version of M.C. Hammer, live band featuring Mr. Schekman, Mr. Dillon, Mr. Cervantes and Mr. Galvan. We will have many other soloists, Mr. Pozo and his music will also be present.

ATTENTION STUDENTS: Summer School applications are available in your counselor’s offices. Space is limited, please see your counselor applications are due May 16th. Prepare or your graduation in your senior year recovering credits this summer.

 

 9th Graders: What classes are you taking in 2008-09? If you and a parent have not met with your counselor and developed a four year plan please see your counselor.

9th GRADERS: You must complete your forty hours of community service to graduate from WHS.  If you have any hours done please turn them into the register or your advisory teacher.  We will have a celebration in May for 9th graders who have completed their 40 hours.     

 

Please congratulate Vicenta Becerra, Melissa Medrano, and Joaquin Alvarez-Bautista, who were selected from 436 submissions for publication in the Santa Cruz County High School Poetry Contest. Joaquin earned an Honorable Mention, the 3 students have been invited to read Tuesday May 20th at 7:00pm at the County Office of Education-Vinnie Hansen.

11th GRADERS: Planning to apply to a 4 year University you need to take the SAT! The next one is June 7 and registration deadline is May 3! Register online at w.w.w.College board.com we will be in the career center during lunch the week of April 28- May 2. We will help you with the registration process. Get on the bus & let’s go to College!
